PST for Yarn & Fabrics

If you weren't aware you currently do not pay PST on yarn or fabric due to these items being deemed essential for many around Canada. This included making/mending your own clothes and making a better choice of where your items come from. 

From Thursday 1st October 2026 there are new tax rules coming into effect where YOU the consumer will have to start paying PST (7%) on these items. It sucks, as life is expensive and a struggle for many at the moment. So adding an additional $5-$7⁺ on your supplies is sh!t and hits below the belt.
