Checkmate Checkers - Phoenix (Per ½ Meter)

Checkmate Checkers are exactly what our garment-loving hearts needed. A double cloth fabric that's 100% reversible—no lining required. Crafted from soft 100% cotton in a bunch of fun and unique colour combinations, Checkmate works beautifully for apparel, home decor, and quilting projects. The large coloured squares measure 7/8″ x 1″, creating bold, playful designs that make a statement.

Yarn-dyed fabrics are woven from pre-dyed yarns rather than being dyed after weaving. This process makes the fabric reversible and gives the colours a soft, dimensional depth. Lightweight and gentle to the touch, yarn-dyed fabrics are ideal for shirts, heirloom baby garments, and layering pieces, as well as certain quilting and crafting projects.

Because many yarn-dyed fabrics tend to fray or unravel, it’s recommended to serge or zigzag the edges before washing to help maintain their quality.

Washing instructions: We  recommend prewash all fabrics in the same manner intended for the final good in order to minimize unexpected shrinking.  Otherwise it is always best to hand wash with mild, bleach-free detergent, and hang-dry fabrics for best results. If machine washing is your preferred method, we suggest washing in cold water with like colors on gentle cycle using a mild, bleach-free detergent. Dry on low-heat tumble setting to minimize shrinkage.
