Master the art of jersey knit sewing in this hands-on intermediate workshop at The Makery. Learn to construct the Closet Core Basic Tee with expert guidance from instructor Siobhan O'Connor, including essential techniques like serging, zigzag stitch and working with knit fabric. Perfect for confident sewers ready to expand their skills with stretch fabrics. You'll leave with a finished garment and the knowledge to tackle knit projects independently.

Sewing machines are provided. If you prefer to learn on your own machine, you’re welcome to bring it, just be sure it’s in good working order and let us know before hand.

All class fees are non-refundable. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 72 hours in advance to receive store credit. Late cancellations and no-shows forfeit the class fee. For more information please read our cancellation policy.
Age Policy
Our workshops are designed for participants aged 16 and over to ensure the best possible learning experience. Participants aged 16–17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+ who is also taking the class, you must have a signed waiver before the class begins.
