Visble Hand Mending with Hayley from Out There Gear Repair

Skill level: Novice/Intermediate (understanding of basic hand sewing techniques).

Favourite jeans blown out? Have holes in your favourite base-layer? Add a personal touch while
repairing your clothing! Learn visible mending techniques such as hand darning and patching.

Supplies provided, please bring 1 personal clothing item to be assessed for repair (think jeans,
button up shirt, base-layer, fine knit sweater) (Please do not bring anything that is lined).

Please note the techniques taught in this class may vary due to the needs of participants.

Demo items will be used to show techniques, and participants will have the opportunity to try the
techniques on their own clothing. It is not guaranteed that you will complete the repair within the
session time, as each repair is unique, and requires different amounts of time and skill.

This class is designed to set you up with the knowledge to assess and complete basic repairs on
your own using visible mending techniques.

Age Policy

Our workshops are designed for participants aged 16 and over to ensure the best possible learning experience. Participants aged 16–17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+ who is also taking the class, you must have a signed waiver before the class begins.
